Stockport businessman raises £3,500 for charity

The money was raised at his captain's charity day at Didsbury Golf Club.

Stockport businessman Fred Finley handed over £3,500 to a disabled children’s charity.

The money had been raised for Stockport charity Seashell Trust at his captain’s charity day at Didsbury Golf Club.

Some 24 teams took to part in the fourball better ball competition, to support children and young people with complex disabilities who live and study at the Cheadle Hulme charity.

Dominic Tinner, from Seashell Trust, said: “We would like to thank Fred for all the fundraising he undertook during his year as captain and to all the golfers who supported his magnificent efforts.”
