Ted Robbins and Brian Capron are starring in Aladdin at Stockport Plaza

It’s panto season at Stockport Plaza with the magical Aladdin running into the new year.

Aladdin stars Ted Robbins as Widow Twanky alongside former Coronation Street villain Brian Capron as the evil Abanazar.

Robbins hails from a showbiz family and is known to millions of fans young and old for his much-loved roles in Phoenix Nights and Coronation Street, as well as his award-winning role as The Governor in the top CBBC Show The Slammer.

He makes a welcome return to The Plaza and is guaranteed to bring the house down when he stars as Widow Twanky the colourful Dame who explodes onto the stage to keep an eye on his/her errant children.

Starring alongside Robbins is Capron, another popular star of stage and screen.

He has enjoyed starring roles in the West End in productions such as Guys And Dolls and The Rocky Horror Show but is best known for the portrayal of Corrie’s murderous villain, Richard Hillman.

Children’s tickets start at only £12 and there are concessions available on standard tickets for all performances, which run until January 7, 2018.

Tickets are available from the Plaza box office on Mersey Square in central Stockport, by calling the booking line on 0161 477 7779 or by visiting The Plaza website.
