Blossoms to play gig at Stockport County’s Edgeley Park in June 2019

Blossoms

Blossoms will play a gig at Stockport County’s Edgeley Park in June 2019.

The Stockport five-piece grew up near the ground and will play their ‘homecoming’ concert on June 22, supported by The Coral, Cabbage, The Blinders and Fuzzy Sun.

Announcing the date in a Facebook video, the band said: “Having already played Wembley, the Etihad Stadium and Old Trafford, we’re now particularly pleased to be headlining at the football ground closest to our hearts – and our houses – Stockport County’s Edgeley Park.”

Blossoms have a close connection with the Hatters – they are named after the nearby Blossoms pub and set part of their spoof video at the ground earlier this year.

They have also played at Stockport Plaza and appeared at Foodie Friday.

Tickets for Edgeley Park go on sale on Friday, October 19, at 9am from outlets including Gigs and Tours and Ticketmaster.

Blossoms recently sold out their December 2018 UK tour that takes in Glasgow, Sheffield, Nottingham, Birmingham, Bristol and Southampton, as well as two gigs at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse and a London date at Brixton Academy, in one day.
