Car rental staff ready for Seashell Trust Santa run

Seashell Trust student Cayman Norton will be joining Enterprise Rent A Car staff on their Santa Run

Staff from a car rental firm will be donning the iconic red suits and big beards – and trainers – to deliver Christmas treats to Seashell Trust’s profoundly disabled students.

Around 40 Enterprise Rent A Car staff dressed as Father Christmas will run just over two miles from their Heald Green branch in Stockport to deliver selection boxes to the young people who live in the charity’s care homes in Cheadle Hulme.

Jennifer Scahill, from Enterprise, said: “Enterprise are really looking forward to our run to raise money for such a fantastic local charity.

“We have been visiting the school from the beginning of the planning stages for their new housing development and we are delighted to be holding this festive fundraiser for furniture for the outdoor space.”

The runners will be greeted by the students at the Cheadle Hulme campus on Stanley Road and celebrate completing the Santa Run with drinks and nibbles on Saturday, December 3.

Wendy Bray, from Seashell Trust, said: “We are so grateful to everyone at Enterprise for taking on such a festive challenge for us and are so looking forward to it. We urge everyone in the area to come out and support them on the day – it will be so much fun!”

If anyone would like to join in the run to work off a couple of pre-Christmas mince pies, please contact Wendy for more details on 0161 610 0168 or wendy.bray@seashelltrust.org.uk.
