Food and drink

South Manchester is bursting with good food and drink, from the Curry Mile in Rusholme and independent restaurants in Didsbury and Chorlton, to dozens of micro-breweries and historic pubs. The area is home to big brewers like Robinsons and Hydes, as well as the famous Marble Beer House in Chorlton and the new ‘bottle’ shops of the Heatons in Stockport. Celebrity chef Simon Rimmer owns two restaurants in the area – in West Didsbury and Hale – and Altrincham Market has been transformed into a vibrant food hall.
