Broadcaster Chelsea Norris will be hosting a special event this September to raise vital funds for a local hospice.

Radio presenter and business woman Chelsea will be taking to the stage for the annual St Ann’s Hospice Ladies’ Fashion Lunch on 23rd September, which will see hundreds of supporters from across the city gathered together to raise money for local patients.

Chelsea explained:  “St Ann’s is a charity that is really close to my heart and I know that they have to raise £16,000 a day to keep their three sites and community services going.

“I’m thrilled to be able to host the fabulous fashion lunch again this year.  It’s always a great afternoon of glitz and glamour and the most important thing is that it raises a lot of money for this amazing local cause.”

The event, which will take place in the Palace Hotel in the city centre, will include a fashion show featuring Autumn and Winter collections from Nadine Merabi and Fizz Fashion, plus guest speaker Geraldine Hurd from lingerie business Betty and Belle, who created the company to give ladies who had undergone breast surgery the best possible shopping experience.

Eamonn O’Neal, chief executive of St Ann’s, said:  “Chelsea is a wonderful host and patron and we’re really grateful to her for giving her time in support of the hospice.  The event has been a regular part of our fundraising calendar for more than a decade and in that time our generous supporters have raised hundreds of thousands of pounds.

“We support thousands of local people every year, and with only around a third of our funding coming from the NHS, every penny raised really does make a huge difference to their lives.”
