Christian to represent England at European water polo competition

Christian Thompson will represent England in Prague

A pupil at The Manchester Grammar School (MGS) has been selected to represent the England Junior Water Polo team.

Christian Thompson, a Year 11 pupil at MGS, will be competing in Prague, Czech Republic, in the EU Nations Cup from March 22-26.

He is also the current captain of the MGS under-18s and the City of Manchester Water Polo squad.

Tom Richmond, Head of Aquatics at MGS, said: “Many congratulations to Christian. He trains upwards of 15 hours per week and through dedication to training, and his studies, he sets a great example of what can be achieved both academically and in a sporting capacity.

“As Christian’s current water polo coach and on behalf of all the staff at MGS, go well in Prague and make the most of all these exciting opportunities opening up for you. “
