Curtain goes up on New Mills Art Theatre renovation

New Mills Art Theatre has revealed its £46,000 makeover – complete with seats from the West End’s Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.

Volunteers gave up over 1,800 hours of their time to renovate the theatre that first opened as the New Mills Empire and Hippodrome in March 1911.

This month it will be hosting the High Peak Independent Film Festival and the musical You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown.
