Former Didsbury golfer Andrew Murray has marked a quarter of a century of support for Stockport charity the Together Trust.
Manchester-born Murray has been raising money for the Together Trust in Cheadle since 1991 and has raised over £100,000 for the charity which provides special education, fostering, residential and community support to over 2,300 families in the region each year.
The Together Trust works in partnership with people with complex health needs, disabilities and autism, to help support them to live the lives they choose.
The former European Open winner hosts the annual Andrew Murray Charity Pro-Am which sees amateur players team up with a professional golfer drawn from several top European Tour professionals, former Ryder Cup players and leading professionals from the north of England.

The Together Trust, among other local charities, has been supported by the fundraising golf events and the money raised has gone toward developing new services, specialist equipment for young people with autism and helping to purchase new vehicles.
Andrew said: “The pro-am is very much part of my calendar and that of my kids and my staff, we are very proud and honoured to be able to stage a great day for lots of friends and clients and at the same time raise funds for those less fortunate.
“I have been blessed with some terrific support from sponsors and world class professional golfers from the tour, who come to support our event. We feel very privileged to be part of it.”
To mark the occasion, Andrew attended an event held at the Together Trust campus in Cheadle and was presented with artwork created by students from Bridge College, the Together Trust’s further education facility for young people with complex needs and autism.
Mark Lee, Chief Executive of the Together Trust, said: “We are delighted with the ongoing support we have received over the years and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Andrew for his generous fundraising efforts.
”We couldn’t do the work we do without fantastic supporters like Andrew.”
