Five award nominations for NK Theatre Arts

NK Theatre Arts have been nominated for five awards at the Manchester Musical Awards.

The annual event compares different musical performances from performing arts organisations across Greater Manchester.

NK Theatre Arts has walked away with at least one gong over the past three years have high hopes for landing another this year.

Fame has been shortlisted for Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress as well as Best Choreographer, while the recent NK Theatre Arts performance of Jesus Christ Superstar saw nominations for Best Ensemble Piece and Best Actress.

Company manager Darren Stannage said: “It’s fantastic to be nominated again for several categories at this year’s awards ceremony.

“People who know our work will realise that the core activities of our organisation is done each week with the young people we work with and the shows and productions are the icing on the cake.

“It is just reward though for the hard work that the performers have put in and to have received a nomination for Best Ensemble Piece is excellent because it recognises all of those that took part.

We are all looking forward to the awards night and celebrating as a company the recognition that we have received.”
