Geoff Miller is hosting a charity day for St Ann's Hospice

Guests will be treated to a fantastic day of cricketing entertainment both on and off the pitch at Bowdon Cricket Club in aid of St Ann’s Hospice.

Former England player and selector Geoff Miller OBE is guest speaker at a three-course lunch in a marquee on Thursday, August 11, with a private viewing area where guests can watch Lancashire’s 2nd XI play Leicestershire in a one-day game.

Screens will also show the Test match between England and Pakistan at the Kia Oval. Events in the City is organising the VIP day in aid of the hospice in Stockport and Salford.

Tickets are £70, or £650 for a table of 10, and the day runs from 10.30am until close of play. The event is sponsored by Tesla Motors.

Steve Kettle, director at Events in the City, said: “It’s going to be a great day out at one of Cheshire’s most prestigious cricket grounds.

“Geoff Miller is one of the best after-dinner speakers on the circuit and we’re raising money for St Ann’s Hospice which does amazing work for the community.”
