Golfers at Bramall Park in Stockport are on course to reach a staggering £150,000 in fundraising for St Ann’s Hospice.

The club’s latest tournament raised £6,800, bringing the total raised to around £147,000 since the popular event began 11 years ago.

The winning team of president John Mould, Nicky Crosswaite, Chris Fensom and Ian Fensom received their prize from captain Steve Williams.

Organiser Tom Grant, a trainee solicitor at Adelphi Sports Law, said: “The event continues to attract the backing of members, guests and sponsors and we appreciate this tremendous support for St Ann’s Hospice.

“The charity needs funds to provide free care for patients with life-limiting illnesses and Bramall Park is proud of its links with such a deserving cause.”

The 2017 charity am-am is scheduled for June 30 when PR executive Roger Souter will be the gentlemen’s captain.
