Life Leisure, a charitable trust that manages 12 sports and leisure facilities in and around Stockport, has reached the finals of the 2019 UKActive Uprising Awards, which recognises the best and brightest in the UK’s fitness industry.

It has been shortlisted for four awards, including the Regional and National Health Club of the Year for Life Leisure Grand Central, which has recently undergone renovations of its children’s pool and health spa.

Seb Rowe, Head of Business Development at Life Leisure, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be nominated for so many awards at the most prestigious Leisure industry awards on the event’s calendar.

“We strive to deliver a fantastic service to our community and to be shortlisted for these four awards is a recognition of the whole team’s dedication to providing an exceptional service to the community.

“Last year we won the Regional and National Health Club of the Year for Stockport Sports Village, so it would be great to bring home the 2019 gong for our Grand Central facility.”
