Hazel Grove’s Lyme Design and Build held its inaugural golf day for Seashell Trust.

Around 60 clients, suppliers and employees of the construction firm played at Hazel Grove Golf Club followed by a dinner with a silent auction and raffle.

They raised more than £4,000 for the Cheadle Hulme charity, which is a national centre of excellence in care and education of children and young adults with complex learning and physical disabilities.

Scott Wilson, co-owner of Lyme Design and Build, said: “After 10 years in business, we have been looking to put something back into the community. We had a wonderful day and weather was beautiful.

“Some great golf was played but it was more about coming together to raise some money for a great cause rather than winning.”

Seashell Trust fundraiser Wendy Bray said: “We are so grateful to everyone at Lyme Design and Build and all who supported the day for raising so much money and really embracing our cause. It was a fantastic day and we can’t wait for next year.”
