Manchester Magic wrap up quadruple

Manchester Magic celebrate (@Mcr_Magic)

Manchester Magic completed the quadruple after coming from behind to beat Reading Rockets in the NBL1 play-off final.

Manchester Magic already had the championship, National Cup and National Trophy before their clash with Reading at the Manchester’s National Performance Centre.

And they completed a clean sweep of all honours by beating a spirited Berkshire side with 24 points from Ellis Cooper.

Cooper added the MVP trophy to those he picked up for both this season’s other finals and the league campaign.

He also had 13 rebounds and four assists in the play-off final.

Reading led after the first quarter, 19-17, but the teams were level 41-41 by half-time.

Manchester Magic led by four at the three-quarter point, finally seeing off a spirited Reading side 72-65.

Manchester Magic guard Franc Garcia Garrido will now say farewell as he returns to Spain.
