Mums enjoy special day at Greenbank

Joseph and mum Lisa Oakes, with Lindsay Freeman and daughter Sophia

What does your mum mean to you eight-year-old Joseph Oakes was asked at Greenbank Preparatory School’s special Mother’s Day Concert and Tea Party, and he replied “Everything, absolutely everything now and forever.”

Beaming with pride mum Lisa just said: “He didn’t have to make me breakfast, he didn’t need to buy me a card or a present, that made my day.”

Joseph and mum Lisa from Bramhall are pictured with fellow friend and mum Lindsay Freeman and daughter Sophia, also aged eight, from Cheadle Hulme, who agreed that her mum “was simply the best.”

The Greenbank concert wasn’t just for the mums, but the dads as well, who were there to celebrate traditional family values.

Greenbank Headmistress Janet Lowe said: “The Mother’s Day Concert is a truly family affair and one we can all share and celebrate.”
