A hole-in-one is rare enough but two players at Reddish Vale Golf Club in Stockport had one each – in the same competition and on the same hole.
The first at the remodelled 140-yard par-three fourth came from serial ace man John Wright with his 22 degree hybrid.
It was John’s fourth hole-in-one with two coming just last year.
Then, six hours later in the same competition, Paddy Weadick completed the ace double.
Paddy used a seven-iron off the same new tee and played it down the right side of the green to a bank which gave a friendly bounce to send the ball into the hole.

Reddish Vale professional Andrew Myers can’t remember this being done before in his long career.
He said: “This is a really unusual feat, the first time I have known it happen in 20 years.
“We have a new fourth tee which isn’t in play just yet so I suspect the current slightly forward tee has helped by making the hole a little shorter, but nevertheless two holes in one not to be sniffed at.”
The club has a history of holes-in-one with club manager Dave Sanders enjoying three in the same year.
