As people across the UK prepare for the royal wedding, St Ann’s Hospice is offering brides-to-be a chance to be treated like a princess for a day.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will marry on Saturday, May 19.
The St Ann’s Hospice’s specialist bridal shop in Cheadle, which offers a range of new, vintage and pre-loved wedding and bridesmaid dresses and accessories, is giving people the chance to win a very special prize in a promotion running throughout May.
The prize includes bridal gifts and a meal for two.
Bridget Russell, shop manager, explained: “We like to treat all of our brides-to-be like princesses when they come to pick out their dream dress, so we’ve decided to go one step further in honour of the royal wedding with a special raffle.
“Anyone can pop into our Cheadle or Stockport hospice shops and buy a ticket, with proceeds going towards helping St Ann’s to care for local patients.
“The lucky winner will be entitled to a personal consultation and £50 off a bridal or occasion outfit of their choosing, as well as a bottle of bubbly and a diamond necklace to take home with them.
“After their appointment they can head down to Pizza Express in Cheadle for a complimentary meal for two, including two starters, two main courses and two drinks, to round off their day.”
The bridal room in the hospice’s Cheadle shop, which was relaunched following a makeover last year, is situated in a former tea room from the 1930s and still retains many of its original art deco features.
Tickets for the raffle are available from the Cheadle shop at 3 High Street, or from the Stockport shop at 33 Great Underbank.
