Stockport Plaza is putting on an extra performance of its Easter panto The Wizard of Oz after a show was halted by a power cut.
Stars Bobby Davao and Dani Harmer entertained the crowds but couldn’t finish the 5pm show on April 12.
So the Plaza management are restaging the show on Monday, April 18, at 6pm – free of charge to people at the original performance.
Plaza manager Ted Doan said: “Unfortunately with Stockport town centre effected by the power failure which cut power to not only The Plaza but also a number of town centre businesses the second performance of our show had to be postponed.
“But, as the old saying goes, the show must go on.
“Although April 18 was meant to be a much-deserved day off for the cast, Bobby and the cast agreed that they would return to The Plaza to ensure that the audience were not disappointed.”
Tickets are available from The Plaza or by calling the booking line 0161 477 7779 – existing ticket holders will be able to discuss their personal bookings transactions.
