The Lord's Taverners present Minibus to Together Trust

The Lord’s Taverners were in Cheshire recently to present a new minibus to Stockport based the Together Trust.

The Together Trust

The Together Trust offers care, support and special education to children, adults and families in the North West and beyond.

Furthermore, the new minibus will be a vital lifeline for users to get out and experience their local community.

Together Trust  will offer the pupils trips to attend sporting activities, inclusion visits to other schools and work experience opportunities.

Anne Price, Head Teacher at Inscape House School: “We would like to thank everyone involved. It will be a fantastic resource for our young people to be able to continue to get out into the local community.”

The Lord’s Taverners

The Lord’s Taverners, the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity, will donate over £3 million this year to help give disadvantaged and disabled young people a ‘sporting chance’ in life.

Since 1976, The Lord’s Taverners has placed over 1,110 minibuses across schools in the UK.

Consequently, this year marks the 40th anniversary of the first minibus donation. To celebrate, the charity will be giving away a record 40 minibuses in 2016.

In addition, the iconic The Lord’s Taverners minibuses provide disadvantaged and disabled young people with the chance to engage with their local community.

Paul Robin is chief executive of The Lord’s Taverners. He said: “The Lord’s Taverners believe that sport and recreation are essential for all young people. Regardless of ability or background. Therefore, this minibus will help the young people at the Together Trust to get out and enjoy new places and experiences.

“We are proud to support their work.”
