Thieves ransack Beechwood Cancer Care Charity shop

The Beechwood Cancer Care shop in Bramhall

Thieves have broken into the Beechwood Cancer Care charity shop in Bramhall, taking around £600 of stock.

The shop in Bramhall Lane South was broken into in the early hours of Monday morning.

The thieves broke in through a rear window and ransacked the upstairs area, stealing costume jewellery and forcing open the safe.

Considerable damage was caused and over £600 in stock taken.

Shop manager Jane Austen said: “It was very distressing for volunteers to open up and be faced with the devastation while we are all working so hard to support local people.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101.
