Together Trust service director Jill Sheldrake collects MBE

Jill Sheldrake at Buckingham Palace with her family

Jill Sheldrake, the Together Trust’s service director, has received her MBE at Buckingham Palace for services to children.

Jill has worked for the Together Trust in Cheadle, Stockport, for over 20 years and was awarded her MBE by His Royal Highness Prince Charles, joined by her parents and her daughter, Charlotte, nine.

She said: “I can honestly say that the last 23 years with the Together Trust have been inspirational for me, I have worked hand-in-hand with colleagues at every level with one common goal and that is to ensure that every individual we work with has the opportunity to achieve their aspirations.”

“The young people and vulnerable adults we support have taught me so much along the way, I remain in awe of the levels of resilience, determination and humour they portray.

“I am so proud of the MBE, but feel this is not an individual award. It is an award that belongs to the Together Trust, its staff and the people we support.”
