Tony drives in at Reddish Vale Golf Club

New Reddish Vale Golf Club captain Tony Barnes

Tony Barnes is looking forward to the coming year as captain of Reddish Vale Golf Club.

The 10-handicapper has been a member of for the past seven years because ‘it has fantastic greens, is a good test of golf and has a very friendly atmosphere’.

Tony, who is an engineering director for a large window blind company, said: “My other favourite courses are Trearddur Bay in Anglesey, where I have just purchased a bungalow, and Bramall Park.

“My favourite hole at Reddish is the famous 16th as it suits my fade and it is where I won by first board competition at Reddish Vale taking the foursomes title with a very good partner and was my highlight in golf to date.”

Tony’s charities for the year are The Dog Rescue Centre and Dogs For The Blind.
