Vernon Building Society holds drop-in mortgage surgeries

The Vernon Building Society in Stockport is holding mortgage surgeries at its Bramhall and Poynton branches.

The two drop-in events in May are free to attend and provide an opportunity for all to receive help and advice on all aspect of mortgages and house purchase.

There will also be information available for first-time buyers and people who are self-employed or about to retire, as well as people looking to remortgage or move home.

The Bramhall surgery takes place on Thursday, May 11, while the Poynton event takes place a week later on May 18.

Both events run from 5pm to 8pm and there is no need to make an appointment.

Ian Keeling, Director of Sales & Marketing at the Vernon, said “The environment for first-time buyers is becoming more challenging.

“The Hometrack report released today suggests that house prices are growing in Manchester faster than any other city in the UK.

“We are here to provide Stockport’s first-time buyers and home movers with the guidance and products they need to progress on the housing ladder.”
