The Vernon Building Society shortlisted at British Bank Awards

The Vernon Building Society is one the finalists in the Best Savings Provider category at the British Bank Awards 2018.

The Stockport-based mutual won the award in 2017 and will be up against Close Brothers Savings, Darlington, Dudley and Newbury Building Societies, Shepherds Friendly and Virgin Money.

The winners will be decided by reviews from customers on the Smart Money People website.

Ian Keeling, Director of Sales & Marketing at the Vernon, said “We’re delighted to be nominated again for the award we won in 2017.

“We are so grateful to our members for providing reviews that reflect our competitive and fair products as well as our personal branch service.

“Our fingers are crossed that we’ll remain number one.”

Run by Smart Money People, the British Bank Awards help UK consumers and businesses to find the most customer-centric financial services firms.

Founder Mike Fotis told the Smart Money People website: “With more and more financial firms popping up, it’s not always easy for consumers and businesses to know which firms are worth a second look.

“We run the British Bank Awards to put the customer at the heart of the industry, and to help consumers and businesses find great financial firms.

“And while being named a Finalist is a great accolade, we still need your help to decide who gets to take home one or more awards in March.”

The winners will be named at the Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden, London on March 15 with voting running until February 11.
