Vernon Building Society shortlisted three times at Moneyfacts Awards

Stockport’s Vernon Building Society has been shortlisted in three categories at the Moneyfacts Awards 2018.

The innovative mortgage lender is a finalist in the Best Remortgage Provider, Best First-Time Buyer Mortgage Provider and Regional Lending Provider of the Year categories.

The Moneyfacts Awards shortlist is decided after ‘rigorous product monitoring’ in the preceding year.

Ian Keeling, Director of Sales and Marketing at the Vernon said: “We’re always recognised for our individual underwriting approach and specialist products, such as our 100% Family Assist and Retirement mortgages, so we’re absolutely delighted that our mainstream remortgage and first time buyer mortgages are also receiving the accolades they deserve.

“We have big plans for the future and more great products in the pipeline so we are confident we can build on this success and continue to put Stockport on the UK map.”

The Moneyfacts winners will be announced at the Pavilion at the Tower of London in June.

A spokesman for Moneyfacts said: “The awards unreservedly promote great products and brands, as well as the good people behind them who are striving to provide the customer with the best means to fulfil their financial goals.”

The Vernon was also a finalist in the Best Savings Provider category at the British Bank Awards 2018, an award it won in 2017.

The Vernon Building Society was established in Stockport in 1924 and has six branches in Stockport and Cheshire, with its headquarters in Stockport town centre and prides itself on providing high quality local service to its customers.
