The Congleton Comedy Club will be bringing a mix of both established and new award-winning talent to the town on Friday, February 26.
Described by none other than Alan Davis as a “very funny man”, Simon Bligh is one of the finest, and most sought-after performers in this country, and beyond.
With a Time Out Comedy Award and Perrier Award nomination under his belt, Simon is in great demand.
His cheery, conversational manner and manic storytelling involve acute observations and he juxtaposes a cheery, affable conversational style with a wild, frenetic and fast-moving performance engaging audiences in a whirlwind of unadulterated comedy.
Allyson June Smith has been tickling Canada’s comedy scene from the moment she put down her chalk and picked up a mic. Playing to packed rooms has become like another day in the classroom for this former schoolteacher.
Credits include her own show on Canadian television and three appearances at Montreal’s prestigious Just For Laughs Festival.
Compere for the evening is Adam Rowe and BBC New Comedy Award Winner Tom Little in the middle.
Tickets are priced at £10 in advance or £12 on the door if any are left and are available from the venue or at the club’s website The show starts at 8.30pm prompt.
