Former Coronation Street stars Lee Boardman and Jennifer James held a meet-and-greet event in Stockport for budding young actors.
Lee, who is famed for walking the cobbles as Jez Quigley among many other TV, stage and film roles, has opening up the new acting school – Actor Tribe – in his hometown of along with his wife and fellow actor, Jennifer James, who played Geena Gregory on the street.
Youngsters came to meet the couple at their new studio in Winsor House in Heaton Mersey to hear about what they will learn and be among the first to sign up to the school.
Lee and Jenny were joined at the meet-and-greet by other stars who will be supporting Actor Tribe – Julia Haworth, who played Claire Peacock in Coronation Street, and Sally Carman, who played Kelly-Marie Maguire in Shameless, as well as renowned acting teacher Robert Morris.
All new students that sign up are being put into a prize draw to win signed scripts and memorabilia from some famous faces including a signed scripts from Kevin Doyle from Downton Abbey, Sally Lindsay from Mount Pleasant, Suranne Jones from Scott and Bailey, a Coronation Street script signed by Jane Danson and other cast members, a signed script, T-shirt and crew jacket from The Following star and Hollywood actor James Purefoy, and a working script from Alfred Molina from the film Sister Cities.
