The 10th Didsbury Beer Festival takes place at St Catherine’s Community Centre from October 26-28

As well as real ales and ciders, there will be music and food across all three days at the centre on School Lane, including Swingin’ Affair on the Saturday afternoon.

The event will also be raising money for charity – this year’s beneficiaries will be Didsbury Community Wood and Greater Manchester Youth Network.

To date almost £150,000 has been raised for local charities and good causes including Cornerstone, Seashell Trust, Didsbury Good Neighbours, St Catherine’s Community Centre and Wood Street Mission.

Organiser Mike O’Hare said: “Each year we have welcomed around 6,000 visitors both locally, regionally and from across the Globe – we have welcomed visitors from around Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire and the Lake District.

“We also have regular visitors from America, Ireland, France and even Iran. The DBF is renowned for attracting thousands of young men and women who care and appreciate cask ales.

“There is always an excellent quality food kitchen with a varied menu available created by our resident chef Des Fallows and his talented team. His goulash and curry specials sell out every year.

“Each night there are various fantastic bands and groups ranging from rock, popular music and the Sixties guaranteeing a rockin’ great Friday and Saturday night.”
