Gourmet Burger Kitchen will be opening at Redrock Stockport, the town’s new leisure development.
Gourmet Burger Kitchen is the third restaurant to commit Redrock after Pizza Express and Zizzi have also already signed up to be part of the new £45m development alongside The Light Cinema.
Work at Redrock Stockport is now well under way, on track and is scheduled to open in 2017.
Councillor Kate Butler, Executive Member for Economy and Regeneration at Stockport Council, said: “I am delighted to welcome GBK to Stockport.
“Their decision to join us at Redrock is a real boost for the town and its growing food offer.
“Redrock will be a great addition to our town centre and its popularity with restaurant operators shows the opportunities this will offer for businesses and residents.
“I look forward to welcoming GBK in person when they open in 2017.”
Andrew Reavley of letting agents Lunson Mitchenall said “GBK takes the development to around 60% pre-let and the quality of tenant line up is testimony to the trading potential of the scheme. We are in active discussions with further occupiers on the small number of remaining units”.
The 75,000 sq ft retail and leisure development is transforming an area in the heart of Stockport town centre and is part of a £1 billion programme that is under way in Stockport which will transform the town and build on the many strengths of the borough.
