Creative Support, a local provider of health and social care services in Stockport, has relocated its national head office to the A6.

The organisation has moved into Orbit Development’s Wellington House property, taking the whole 18,000 sq ft, multi-storey building.

Making the move from central Manchester – where they have been for the last 20 years – the not-for-profit agency said they chose Wellington House to better accommodate their people and services and allow for growth.

Creative Support currently employs 160 people in Wellington House with another 5000 support workers located around the country.

The organisation works alongside local authorities on a range of services including supported living, supported housing, residential care, community and home support, floating support, extra-care and day services.

They work with people who have a wide spectrum of needs, ranging from those who require short term support to regain their independence to people with complex needs who require intensive support to enjoy a good quality of life.

Creative Support also develops and manages high-quality housing to provide supported accommodation.

Olivia Turley, from Creative Support’s Property Development team, said: “When looking for a new head office base in Stockport, Orbit were able to show us a range of high quality commercial premises.

Rhys Owen, Orbit’s Leasing Director for Stockport said it was the perfect time to relocate to Stockport.

He said: “Olivia and her team will benefit from the central location of Wellington House, its parking and transport links, high-speed broadband and proximity to the new retail and leisure offers in the next 12 months.

“We are delighted to welcome them to the property.”

The agency’s employees will also benefit from Orbit’s unique SKone card which provides people with discounts and offers from a range of local shops and service providers.

Rhys added: “It will introduce them to some of the best cafes, restaurants, gyms, beauty outlets and independent shops in the town centre.”
