Heatons Comedy Evening has an Irish flavour

The Heatons Comedy Evening returns on Sunday, March 5, with resident compere Justin Moorhouse and, to mark the start of Manchester Irish Festival, one of Northern Ireland’s fastest-rising stars will be making his Heaton Moor debut.

At the tender age of 22, Micky Bartlett entered BBC Northern Ireland’s ‘Find Me The Funny‘ which involved a series of comedic challenges and culminated in Micky headlining to a thousand strong crowd at his native Belfast’s Ulster Hall.

Seven years later his reputation has spread across the country and he makes regular appearances on both TV and radio as well as providing tour support for Tommy Tiernan and Patrick Kielty,

In addition to the usual Edinburgh Fringe appearances Micky has also been extremely well received at the Glasgow Comedy Festival as well as Glastonbury and T In The Park.

Whether he is engaged in super quick audience interaction or telling a hilarious shaggy dog story, Raymond Mearns is one of the UK’s finest circuit comedians. and has won praise from fellow Scots Frankie Boyle who has described him as a ‘genuine improvisational genius’.

Jamie Hutchinson is the new act who will be strutting his stuff alongside the pros and the show starts at 7.5pm prompt.
