Irish-themed comedy night in Chorlton

Sam Wills

Two Irish comedians on the bill for April’s Comedy @ Chorlton Irish Club shouldn’t come as a huge surprise.

Former circus acrobat – and compere for the evening – Martin Mor hails from Coleraine and has performed at events as diverse as the Hammersmith Apollo to a show for the inmates of an Italian prison, from comedy clubs to performing before members of the British Royal Family.

As well as being Frankie Boyle’s main tour support he once opened for Tina Turner!

When not performing comedy Grainne Maguire is a regular gag smith for many of TV and radio’s topical comedy shows and former pro snooker player Sean Meoopens the show

Also on the bill, New Zealand’s Sam Wills began his performing career at the age of 13 while he trained as an apprentice clown but it’s as the multi-faceted mime act The Boy With Tape On His Face that has brought him international success

Delightful, wry, many-layered and hilarious, The Boy With Tape On His Face accesses an inner child in us all that must be fed. Simple, clever and charming humour has seen Wills perform for the King of Tonga and at the Royal Variety Performance.

The show starts at 8.30pm prompt and admission is £12 on the door or £10 advance from the venue or online. Further info also by calling 07874 152 338.
