TV comic Justin Moorhouse will be introducing the latest comedy night at the Heatons Sports Club in Stockport.
The Heatons Comedy Evening will take place on Mother’s Day – Sunday, March 6 – from 7.45pm at the club on Green Lane, Heaton Moor.
On the bill will be Jason Cook, whose dark, sharp comedic mind is close to the edge but always intriguing and blessed with the sort of charm that’ll have you laughing in spite of yourself.
He headlined our very first Heatons Sports Club over three years ago and was riding high on the success of his cult BBC2 series ‘Hebburn’ which he wrote and appeared in alongside Chris Ramsey and Vic Reeves.
Vicar’s son Markus Birdman first took to the stage as a performance poet but quickly became aware that audiences were laughing at him so swapped the verse for gags and and decided to enter the aptly titled ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ competition. It turned out he was right, and he s been wowing comedy fans ever since.
Guest act for the evening is Stephen Lawson.
Tickets are £7.50 from the venue, online at the Heatons Comedy website or pay on the door.
Fully licensed bar and free parking. All acts subject to change. Very strong language. Strictly over-18s. Further info on 07874 152 338.
