Stockport rider Ben Luxton rode to glory over the weekend, winning the 2020 Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship with a race to spare.

The JR Performance Kawasaki rider went into the weekend with a 30-point lead and claimed the title with victory in the opening race of two at Brands Hatch.

A late charge from third with three laps to go saw him claim the win by just 0.023secs, with less than a second covering the top five riders as the crossed the line, claiming the fastest lap in the process.

“It’s absolutely fantastic to take the championship here at Brands Hatch,” said Luxton.

“It couldn’t have been a better weekend – taking the win and finishing with a 44-point lead in the final standings.

“A massive thank you to my team, JR Performance, and everyone who’s made it possible.”
