Stockport-born former Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan is back in Manchester to film the ITV drama Tina and Bobby

Keegan, 29, is playing Bobby Moore’s wife Tina in the ITV drama about the life of legendary England captain Bobby Moore.

Ancoats is doubling for 1960s London as Keegan is seen hopping on the the number 25 bus to Ilford.

Keegan made her name as Tina McIntyre in Coronation Street but left in 2014, taking over the role of Corporal Georgie Lane in BBC hit drama series Our Girl.

The role of Bobby will be played by 26-year-old Lorne MacFadyen, best known for his role in Grantchester.

The three-part drama series will tell the story of England star Moore’s life with Tina, from their early days through to the height of their fame as the original ‘golden couple’.

Moore became a national hero as captain of the England team when they won the World Cup in 1966 and the couple became the country’s original Posh and Becks.

Essex girl Tina first met Bobby aged just 15 when he was 17 and four years later they married.

Less than two years before England won the World Cup, at just 23 years of age, Bobby was diagnosed with testicular cancer.

Despite that, Bobby went on to play over 700 matches, including 108 for England. Tina and Bobby divorced in 1986 and Moore died from cancer aged 51 in 1993.
