The Kings Lock in MIddlewich

The Kings Lock Inn in Middlewich is rated the most popular pub in Cheshire, according to customer review website TripAdvisor.

The pub is also ranked in the top 20 restaurants in the county with more than 200 people rating it as ‘excellent’.

The pub is located on the Trent and Mersey Canal and encourages people to arrive by boat.

The latest reviewer said: “Just had midweek lunch here. Atmosphere friendly, fresh flowers on tables, canal boat themed, lovely service and first class food freshly made on premises plus very good value.”

Second in the list is Barlounge in Chester, followed by The Fox Hounds in Holmes Chapel.
