A Stockport printer’s future has been assured after the founder retired and passed the business into the experienced hands of Mike & Sharon Taylor.
Paragon Print & Marketing Solutions, based in Reddish, has been taken over as a going concern, not only securing the future of all the staff, but also providing a place for a new member of the team after just the first month.
For Sharon, a former sales director at Hazel Grove-based Fine Print, it was a home-coming in more ways than one: “I first joined Paragon in 1999 in a sales exec role and stayed for a great eight years.
“I have always kept in touch with my old work colleagues and have always retained a warm link with the company and its staff.
“I attended the wedding of a former work colleague from Paragon just four years ago and, as well as a welcome catch up with all my old work buddies, I actually met my now husband Mike so Paragon was playing a part in my life all over again.
“When the business owner of Paragon decided to retire, Mike and I were offered an amazing opportunity to take over the business and its 10 employees. It was a huge decision for us but, it was a gift that we could not let pass us by.
“With over 45 years’ experience within the business print industry between us it made perfect sense to do this.
“We have already addressed our branding and given it a refreshing and vibrant makeover.
“Mike and I have always demonstrated a pride in our work and our customers.
“But to be able to refer to our customers as ‘our’ customers, in every sense of the word, makes us very proud; it’s our business and keeping our customers 100% satisfied has never been more important.”
