Privately-owned Pesto Italian Restaurant Group is celebrating after TripAdvisor named all seven of its qualifying restaurants as ‘top performing’ in its 2016 awards.

Pesto has found out that each of their qualifying restaurant has been awarded the 2016 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.

Four of Pesto’s ‘top performing’ Italian Restaurants are located across South Manchester: in The Trafford Centre’s Great Hall; at Cabbage Hall in Tarporley; in Farnworth, Widnes and at the Dicconson Arms in Appley Bridge.

Pesto at the Dibbinsdale Inn, Bromborough, Pesto at the Axe and Compass, Wolvey, Warwickshire and Pesto in Sutton Coldfield were also awarded the certificate of excellence.

The only Pesto Italian Restaurant Group restaurant that was not able to enter the awards process was Pesto at the White Horse in Desford. As it only opened ten months ago, it didn’t meet the minimum one year trading entry requirement.

The accolade, which celebrates true excellence in hospitality and is only achieved by roughly the top performing 10% of businesses listed globally on TripAdvisor, is only given to select establishments that achieve exceptional traveller reviews on the travel site by sustaining an overall rating of four out of five or higher for the past twelve months.

Co-owner of Pesto Italian Restaurant Group, Sara Edwards, comments: “For all of our eligible restaurants to win this highly esteemed award is a huge accomplishment by all of our team members.

“For most of the restaurants this is the second or third consecutive year that they have won this honour, most achieving it every year since they could first qualify for it, which makes it even more of an extraordinary feat.”

Sara adds: “We’re already getting very positive reviews from our customers, and on TripAdvisor, for Pesto at the White Horse so are hoping we can add to our awards collection and keep our 100% record next year!”

TripAdvisor launched the Certificate of Excellence six years ago to celebrate hospitality businesses that have earned great traveller reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year. Winners include accommodations, eateries and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a top quality level of customer experience.

Heather Leisman, Vice President of Industry Marketing, TripAdvisor said: “With the Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor honours hospitality businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings from travellers.

“This recognition helps travellers identify and book properties that regularly deliver great service. TripAdvisor is proud to play this integral role in helping travellers feel more confident in their booking decisions.”
