Pizza Express and Zizzi to open in Stockport

Pizza Express and Zizzi will be opening restaurants in the new Redrock Stockport development in 2017.

These lettings follow the announcement that The Light Cinema will be the anchor attraction in the scheme and mean Redrock is already 60% pre let.

Pizza Express are taking a 3,300 sq ft unit while Zizzi will be opening a 3,000 sq ft restaurant with 100 covers.

Redrock Stockport is the exciting £45m leisure development that will transform a key area of Stockport town centre and is part of Stockport Council’s Investing in Stockport programme that will see around £900m invested into projects.

Work at Redrock is now well under way and will be fully open for enjoyment in 2017.

Councillor Patrick McAuley, Executive Member for Thriving Economy at Stockport Counci,l said: “It is fantastic to welcome Zizzi and Pizza Express to Stockport.  These are both popular restaurants and them choosing to join us at Redrock is exciting news for our town.

“Redrock will see an important area of Stockport town centre transformed into a new, vibrant leisure and retail destination for residents and visitors.

These announcements follow the news that Holiday Inn Express will be opening a hotel as part of the neighbouring Stockport Exchange development showing the Council’s commitment to making Stockport an even better place to live, work and visit.”

Kieran Pitcher , Group Property Director for Azzurri Group that owns Zizzi, said: “We’re delighted to be expanding our estate into Stockport town C=centre, in the new leisure centre Redrock. This is an exciting time for the brand, continuing its steady pace of rollout.”

Andrew Reavley from Lunson Mitchenall, letting agent for the scheme, added:  says “There is excellent interest in the remaining units and with the scheme opening next year, we look forward to be making further announcements about the new lettings shortly”.

GVA and Lunson Mitchenall are appointed as agents for Redrook Stockport.
