Seashell Trust’s annual golf day raised a record £10,800 for its profoundly disabled students, smashing last year’s total by £2,000
The Morson Group-sponsored competition at Wilmslow Golf Club was won by the RBS team from Macclesfield.
The team of Andrew Adshead, from RBS Corporate Banking; Dave Peel, in Private Banking at RBS; Andy Heywood, a financial advisor for Josolynes and RBS client Rodney Gorton; beat second-placed HSBC and Barclays in third.
Andrew said: “We were delighted to support the Seashell Trust golf day.
“The team had an excellent day, with the added benefit of winning the event, which we are all looking forward to going back to next year. It is for a very worthy charity which deserves all the support it gets.”
Some 28 teams from local and national corporates took part in the Stableford competition in support of the Seashell Trust, which runs a special school and college in Cheadle Hulme for profoundly disabled children and young people.
The Seashell Trust golf day will return next year on Thursday, September 7, 2017.
