North west law firm SAS Daniels has posted record results for the 12 months to April.
The company, which has offices in Stockport, as wells as Macclesfield, Congleton and Chester, billed more than £8.6m in its last financial year, a year-on-year increase of 12%.
SAS Daniels’ corporate, HR, employment law, dispute resolution and commercial property teams all achieved record billings.
Now, the firm has forecast turnover growth of around 10% for its current financial year, having increased its takings by close to 75% over the last five years.
Finance partner Jeremy Orrell, who heads up SAS Daniels’ corporate team, said: “We are delighted that we’ve maintained such a high level of growth.
“It has been another busy year for the firm with unprecedented demand from both new and existing clients for our services. During the year we have taken on 31 members of staff and now have almost 140 employees.
“We have also added three new partners to the firm with Roger Allsup (construction), Neil Powell (property) and Angela Moores (family) and have extended our expertise and services into corporate and personal insolvency and construction.“
Elsewhere, the company’s residential property team saw its billings rise by 28%, while commercial property achieved growth of 9.9%.
SAS Daniels’ corporate team, which has increased its billings by 90% over the last five years, completed a record 30 deals in the 12 months to April.
Jeremy added: “At times the deal flow has been almost manic as our strong relationships with clients and other professionals has resulted in an unprecedented number of instructions.
“In order to meet the demand we recruited former Birchall Blackburn’s head of corporate, Paul Tyrer. The pipeline remains strong and we are looking forward to another successful year.“
