Stockport accountant Katie Cheetham has won an international award for her overall exam performance.

Katie, who works at Hallidays, was placed 11th internationally for her overall performance in three examinations and she will be recognised with an Annual International Order of Merit.

She will receive her award at the International ACA prize giving ceremony in London in April 2016.

Katie said; “I have loved working at Hallidays for the last two years. From the start, I was made to feel welcome and the whole team was friendly.

“Hallidays have been brilliant and supported me wonderfully throughout my exams with flexible working and time off for study. I don’t think I could have won the awards without their support.

“I’ve also been given the opportunity to develop my professional skills through the great variation of work I am performing and enjoy working closely with our clients”.

This will be Katie’s fifth award celebrating her hard work and achievement. She will also be receiving an award from the ICEAW Chartered Accountants Manchester (MSCA) in March for achieving “Highest Mark in Corporate Reporting” in Manchester.

Katie won a further three awards in 2014 for her examination success.

Katie joined Hallidays in September 2013 and is now fully qualified.

Hallidays director Valerie Wain praised Katie, saying: “We are very proud of Katie and her phenomenal achievement. She’s an inspiring member of our team and is working hard to develop her commercial knowledge and technical expertise.

“This success has been achieved alongside working hard to meet our clients’ needs.

She is pleasure to work with and everyone at Hallidays is delighted and looking forward to celebrating with her.”
