Stockport’s Belly Flop TV has been certified as Google Trusted Photographers in recognition of their excellent work photographing businesses, creating 360 degree tours around their premises and uploading them to Google Maps.

One recent example is their work for regular client Turners Visioncare in Somerset – the tour for Turners  was part of a project involving films and photography for their new website.

Richard Llewellyn, owner of Turners Visioncare, was delighted with the results of the work that Belly Flop’s Jonathan Robinson delivered as his Street View tour went live.

Jonathan has invested £2,000 in new camera equipment to do the Street Views, a natural extension to the TV and video services they offer.

He said:“Google have a very strict set of guidelines for completing the Google Maps tours for businesses and they check the quality of your work from the previous 150 days, which was just when we first started doing Google Street View 360 degree tours.

Everything from the picture quality to technical detail of the photograph is closely examined.

“Our work passed their quality standards and we received the accreditation as being ‘certified’. We now appear on their approved photographer list on the Google Trusted website.

“Even though video is our main area, our customers were asking for us to offer Google Street View photography as well, and we have done over 25 photo tours since starting in August 2015.”

The 360° tours are particularly good for restaurants or business that display products as it shows off the extent of the interior.

Belly Flop will also create a photo album of various ‘points of interest’ in a business and upload these images into Google.
