Volunteers help to clean up Trafford Park

Volunteers after the litter pick in Trafford Park

Volunteers from Trafford Park and the surrounding area came together to act as “Litter Heroes” tidying up a discarded waste eyesore.

Areas of the Trafford Park Village have been blighted by rubbish so a local business called on others to get involved in the big clean up.

The DCB Group teamed up with neighbouring businesses to get out and kick off the spring clean that runs until April 23.

Victoria Hart, managing director of the DCB Group, said: “We are lucky to have been in Trafford Industrial Park for over 40 years and have seen it thrive and we’re sure we’re not alone in wanting to see the Park be the best it can be, for our staff, our customers and our visitors.

“At the DCB Group we believe in giving back wherever we can and if we all get involved and get stuck in we can make a real difference to our environment for everybody.”

Each year Keep Britain Tidy gets people from across the UK to take part in #GBSpringClean and this year the DCB Group hopes to inspire its neighbouring businesses to help tidy up Trafford Park.

The DCB Group and volunteers got together and cleared nearly 40 bags off litter from the footpath on Second Avenue.

Victoria Hart added: “It is vital that we keep our community clean and tidy so it was great to see everyone come together and collaborate to make a difference to our community here in Trafford Village”
