Stockport charity Seashell Trust is looking for people to get gunged and dunked in some knockabout knockout fun for a good cause.
It’s A Knockout will help some of the most vulnerable children in the country.
The national charity educates and cares for young people with complex learning difficulties and physical disabilities at its special school, college and residential homes in Cheadle Hulme.
The young people there face tremendous physical challenges every day but enjoy rising to them and now the charity is challenging teams to take on Teletubby Challenge, the Cannon Run, and the Ultimate Relay on the Knockout course.
Jo Barber, Seashell Trust fundraiser, said: “The competitors will face inflatable giant obstacles and costumes and props, gallons of water and foam, and the hilarious penguin chase final.
“There will also be a fun day with stalls, games and food for spectators to enjoy while they support the teams.
“While the day will be filled with thrills and spills, the most important thing will be the fantastic contestants who will be raising so much money for our students, who deserve everything we can do to help them achieve their potential while they are at the Seashell Trust.”
The event will take place 11am on Saturday, October 6, at the Seashell Trust’s campus on Stanley Road, Cheadle Hulme. There will be great prizes and lots of entertainment on the day.
So grab your workmates, community group or a gang of friends and book your team’s place now at £450 for up to ten people. Contact Wendy Bray on wendy.bray@seashelltrust.org.uk or 0161 610 0168.
