New arts and business venture Village Point in Heaton Moor will open at a launch event on Thursday, June 16.
The building has undergone a £250,000 restoration to transform the former Moor Suite into a mixed-use venue for arts events, weddings, celebrations and business.
Stephen Dillon, investor at Village Point, said: “It’s been a labour of love to transform this 19th century building into the vision we originally had for Village Point, but we’re really excited about what’s been achieved and we can’t wait to share it with everyone.
“We’ve already had lots of bookings from people who recognise that this is something new and unique for the area and want to be part of it.
“It really is a dream come true to be launching Village Point in The Heatons, the place I’ve called home for the last 30 years.”
Village Point will comprise of three main spaces:
- The Ballroom offers classic grandeur for dream wedding receptions and larger events and its interior will feature a series of show stopping chandeliers, a Corian top bar and a moveable stage for live entertainment.
- The Lodge incorporates rich wood themes, a baby grand piano and statement lighting for a modern, yet welcoming feel and is a smaller, relaxed and ambient setting for events of up to 100 people, making it perfect for evening events and more intimate weddings. Both spaces can be hired at weekends, as well as throughout the week on an hourly basis.
- The Hub is a light and modern space for those who need a dedicated desk and all the amenities of an office without the high costs and annual commitment. Created for freelancers, small businesses, entrepreneurs, and students, it will provide each member with a premium desk workspace, business-class wifi, full mailing address and a locker.
