The seventh annual Heatons Summer Festival will take place on Sunday 19th June in Heaton Park.
The Heatons Summer Festival returns on Sunday 19th June 2016. With something for all the family to enjoy, it’s sure to be the best possible way to spend this Father’s Day.
Taking place from 11am to 4pm in Heaton Moor Park, with all gates around the park open as entrances, this year’s festival will be jam-packed with music, entertainment, food and drink.
Highlights include:
- The children’s field, which will have traditional fairground rides, a falconry display, Punch and Judy and tug of war
- A sports field with activities including lacrosse, rugby, tennis and basketball
- The ever popular Heaton Moor Producers Market featuring locally produced food, gifts and crafts
- Food and drink from local businesses including Kro, Bottle, Thom’s Bar, Backs Deli, Mango Thai and Rocksalt Deli
There will also be a full schedule of music on the main stage with local acts including Blank Cheque, Square One and Fuse and the Small Blonde.
The festival, which regularly attracts close to 10,000 people, is organised by the Four Heatons Traders’ Association. Sponsors this year include Julian Wadden, Almond Solicitors, Rock Salt Deli, Stella Maris School, Tesla Manchester South and Venture Studios Stockport.
Shane Flannery, chairman of the Four Heatons Traders’ Association said: “The Heatons Summer Festival has become a real fixture on the local calendar and we’re very excited about making it happen again this year. We’d encourage everyone to come along, bring Dad, support your local businesses and prove, once again, how much the Heatons loves to party!”
Attendees are encouraged to cycle, walk, skate or scoot to the festival as there will be no parking within the immediate area.

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS!
The Four Heatons Traders Association is asking members of the community to spare some time on the day to help the festival run as smoothly as possible. Any volunteers that can give three hours of their time will receive a free ticket to the Savoy Cinema and will be entered into a draw to win a £50 voucher for Bottle.
