Stockport riders Christian Iddon and Ben Luxton have both announced a return to their respective championships in 2019.
Iddon will again race with the TYCO BMW team in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, while Luxton returns with G&S Racing to compete in the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship.
Iddon, who narrowly missed out on the 2018 Showdown with a broken collarbone, said: “Obviously I’m really happy to be back with TAS Racing for another year in the Superbike class.
“We have an exciting year ahead with the launch of the new BMW S1000RR – I can’t wait to get riding the new bike after hearing such great things about it.
“Both myself and the team feel we have unfinished business so we will be looking to put that right in 2019. I’m genuinely grateful for their continued support.
Luxton, who featured on the podium at his home round at Oulton Park, revealed his announcement on social media: “Delighted to announce for 2019 I’m back with G&S Racing Kawasaki on-board the new Kawasaki ZX6R 636 in British Superstock 600.
“I feel very happy to continue my relationship with G&S Racing after all the help they gave in 2018 to get me back to where I needed to be. I am super excited to get the new season started.
Just got to get Christmas out of the way and then we head to spain for our first test on the new bike, also looking forward to having JR Performance in my corner for 2019”.
The 2019 season kicks off for both series at Silverstone over the weekend of the April 19-21.
