It is the final week of the Vernon Building Society’s calendar competition.

The Vernon is looking for the best photographs taken in and around Stockport to feature in its 2019 calendar.

Running for its seventh year, the competition gives members of the public and photographers the opportunity to see their photos featured in the Vernon calendar.

A different photo will be chosen for each month of the year, and the front page winner will receive a £75 love2shop voucher.

The calendars will be sold in each of the Vernon’s six branches with all proceeds going to the Community Awards fund, which provides much-needed funding for local charities and community organisations.

The society has so far received over 120 entries, each offering a different perspective of Stockport, but there’s just a few days left to submit photos.

Marketing Manager Alexander Deakin said: “We are seeing some great images come through for this year’s competition – it is great to see a variety of styles and settings.”

“For our 2019 competition we are giving extra consideration towards photographs that show a unique perspective of Stockport and photos that offer a creative twist.”

The deadline for submissions is 28th September 2018 and can be submitted by emailing marketing@thevernon.co.uk, visiting https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/calendar_comp_2019 or the Vernon’s Flickr page.

Each photograph should be submitted with a title, photographer’s age bracket and contact details.

Additionally, a description for the photograph should be added that may be used on the calendar or social media.
